Tassimo Coffee
Coffee makers are much different then days past. From the old cowboy pots which boiled coffee over the coals to today’s high tech gourmet brewers, there’s a coffee maker to fit every taste, every lifestyle, every budget and every counter space. So where do you start looking for a coffee maker to suit your perfect idea of what it should be?
Before you cruise over to your favorite appliance superstore, do a little homework. Consider what kind of coffee you most enjoy, how often you actually drink coffee, how much space do you have for a coffee brewer, and how much can you afford to spend on a one? These are the main things to keep in mind when you narrow the search for the dream coffee machine. Also, you will need to decide if you need to purchase an espresso or a non-espresso coffee maker.
Espresso or No Espresso?
Espresso coffee makers are becoming more and more popular these days, however They cost more than regular ones (sometimes thousands of dollars) and they make a variety of coffee types including cappuccino and lattes. Espresso machines mostly only make one cup of coffee at a time and require cleaning after each cup. The coffee is much stronger than if it were brewed by traditional coffee makers.
The Tassimo Coffee Brewer..
The tassimo coffee maker is one example of coffee machine that prepares one-cup servings of espresso, regular coffee, tea, hot chocolate and even lattes and cappuccinos.
True coffee aficionados usually opt for using an espresso coffee maker, especially the fully automated ones that do everything from grinding the coffee beans to pouring it into the cup.
Coffee drinkers who prefer to have a fresh pot of coffee waiting at all times are usually not interested in lattes or other exotic flavors of coffee and they lean towards the non-espresso coffee makers. Non-espresso coffee makers work well for people who like to start the coffee brewing and get on with other things to do while it brews. They buy the coffee beans already ground and don’t bother with the process of also having to buy the bean grinder and adding that extra step every time they want a cup of coffee.
For coffee drinkers needing a lot of coffee, non-espresso is the way to go. Large percolator type coffee urns can be used to make more than a hundred cups of coffee at one time.
They also prefer returning to the coffee pot time after time and refilling their coffee cup over making only just one cup at a time. Non-espresso type coffee makers are also much less expensive than the fancy espresso machines.
Choosing your Coffee Maker: Non-Espresso
These coffee brewers are available in drip, French press and combination models. Drip style machines usually make 6 to 10 cups of coffee at a time. For those who don’t need quite that much, it’s better to buy a model that makes around 4 cups (or less) at a time. Drip coffee makers are inexpensive and really easy to use.
There are the pod coffee makers that use single serving pods to brew coffee. Pod style coffee makers are often inexpensive but the coffee itself will usually costs a little more than the standard cans of pre-ground coffee.
French Press coffee makers are excellent if you only want just a few cups of coffee at a time. Combination coffee makers that feature both espresso and non-espresso coffee makers in one are also available. These types of machines give coffee drinkers the best of both worlds.
Choosing a Coffee Maker: Espresso
A Tassimo machine can be great for those who wish to brew one cup servings quickly and without measuring and want an occassional espresso or cappucino. These are time savers and the coffee is consistantly great everytime because they use something called “T-Discs” which are little pouches that you drop into the machine and hit the button!
Espresso coffee makers come in semi-automatic, fully automatic and super automatic models. These machines make fewer cups at a time and may require more time and attention that a standard drip coffee maker.
The more automated an espresso coffee maker is, the more features it will have. Some take care of everything from grinding the coffee beans to filling the cup with coffee and ejecting the used coffee grounds.

The more features the espresso coffee maker offers, the higher the price tag will usually be. These coffee makers can cost anywhere from hundreds or even up to thousands of dollars.
The first decision for you to make in choosing a coffee maker is to decide whether an espresso coffee maker or a non-espresso coffee maker is what suits your needs best. Coffee preferences, how much money you ultimately want to spend and the amount of coffee to be made are all key factors that will affect the decision making process.
